				We stayed here when visiting Acadia National Park. The area itself is quiet, remote and peaceful. We didn’t have good cell service but the WiFi worked great without any issue. The closest supermarket was about 15 min away by car and along the way to the park. The National Park itself is about 45-50 minutes from the house. When we checked in, the house was clean and ready for us. There are 3 bedrooms which was convenient but the beds are small, convenient for individuals but a little small for couples. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and eat our breakfast. The fridge and freezer was a nice full size. Laundry is available in the basement which is very convenient. There is also another hang out room in the basement with a TV, which we didn’t use. I only wish all the rooms had AC, but there is only one mini-split in the living room. On hot days, I recommend using the standing fan pointed towards the bedrooms with the doors open for an hour or so before bed.

				Cindy’s place was perfect for our family with three small kids! Convenient layout, everything we needed for cooking. Our kids loved playing in the downstairs area and making s’mores at the outdoor fire pit.

				We highly recommend Cindy’s home!

	1.	The house is very thoughtfully designed — for example, the bathroom sink is an easy-to-clean integrated style, and Cindy even prepared makeup remover, towels, and lotion, which made us feel truly cared for.

	2.	The kitchen is fully stocked with everything we needed: pots, pans, brushes, dishwashing gloves, and even Ziploc bags, which were super handy for packing sandwiches for our hikes. It really felt like home — everything we needed was right there.

	3.	The backyard has a lovely little wooded area where we enjoyed sitting by the fire. Cindy had firewood and a lighter all ready for us, which made it so easy and relaxing.

	4.	Although it’s a bit of a drive from Bar Harbor, the location is very peaceful. On clear nights, you can see a sky full of stars — absolutely beautiful.

The only small downside was that there’s only one air conditioner in the living room. On warmer summer nights, it wasn’t quite enough to cool down the bedrooms.

				We had a terrific family vacation at the cottage in Surry. The quaint house provided plenty of space for our family of 4 and our 2 dogs. After a day's adventure of exploring the sites of Acadia NP, it was great to come back to this home for a family meal and R&R time. Host provided quick & friendly communication.  We were certainly happy with our stay!

				My friends and I loved this Airbnb. We brought our dog and he also loved it! The firepit outside was a huge plus. It was clean and comfortable. There were games available to play and a streaming TV. The kitchen was spacious and it was a good size for 5-6 people.

We reserve the right to conduct additional guest screening outside of the booking platform. The guest is responsible for the additional $40 non-refundable fee. Booking a stay at this home is acknowledgement of this. Booking your stay gives us as the manager and our 3rd party vendor to screen your identity and check criminal databases to confirm your reservation. Other things to note

We are a short drive to Acadia National Park (23 miles) but keep in mind that during the busy summer season, driving time can vary significantly depending on traffic. If you are looking for a quick car ride to Acadia, it’ll be roughly 40 minutes from this home.
The stairs to the basement are narrow and a bit steep so caution is advised.
Ring doorbell camera (facing outward) for guest security, compliant with Airbnb policies.
We stock the home with an assortment of eco-conscientious cleaning products, so there’s no need for you to purchase any for your stay. We have laundry detergent, dishwasher, multi-surface, antibacterial, swifter wet mops, and many other products for your convenience.
Unexpected circumstances happen – we HIGHLY recommend purchasing Travel insurance. We work with a company called, Safely, to give you the option to reduce or maybe eliminate the financial burden you’ll face if you have to cancel your trip, pay for additional travel arrangements due to a delay, or pay medical costs if you or a travel companion gets injured or sick.
